Biography
Graceful, charismatic, fluid, and full of personality.
These are only a few of the words audiences use to describe Yasmin on stage. A natural performer, Yasmin began her music, rhythm, and dance training at the age of three in Vancouver, BC. While she focuses exclusively on the dance of her Egyptian heritage, her training spans Ballet, Modern and Hip Hop dance forms. She also spent many formative years playing the violin and piano as well as acting in performance theater.

Yasmin honed her current dance technique by studying with well-recognized Middle Eastern dancers and instructors. She has achieved Level 2 certification in the Suhaila Salimpour bellydance format and is the first bellydancer in history to perform on the well-respected Austin City Limits television stage. You can find her performing regularly in clubs, parties, haflehs, and festivals as well as special occasion events including theater performances, corporate events, bridal showers, weddings, music videos, tours, and television.

At present, Yasmin lives in Austin, Texas. In addition to solo performance, she dances with Govinda, Thievery Corporation, and Sabaya Bellydance Collective.
