Memories of That Place: Sunday Songbirds
It's a Spring day. It's a Sunday. It's early morning. It feels like there could be a leisurely day ahead. The birds are connecting with each other .... singing their song. Do you have a memory like this?
Here's a little background on this series. You see, I'm originally from a place with beautiful seasons that clearly mark the passage of time. I miss the changing seasons; the colder nip in the air, the vibrant fall colors, the glitter of snowbanks on sunny days, the sensory calm when the body experiences white on the ground and in the sky. Memories of That Place is my series exploring the feeling that Nature's touch can invoke in body, mind, and spirit.
I created this piece using vintage italian music paper, acrylic, graphite, and cold wax on a 4x6 cradled Birch panel.
