I began rhythm and dance training at age 3 in Vancouver, Canada. Since those early years, my training has spanned ballet, modern, hip-hop and bellydance, the artform of my Egyptian heritage. My journey as a belly dancer has given me many friends, adventures and memories performing as a soloist, with Govinda, Sabaya Bellydance Collective, and Thievery Corporation. What you will find on this page are videos and photos documenting my dance journey. It’s taken me around the world and for that, I am very thankful.
Within the bellydance genre, I have studied with Aida Nour, Amar Gamal, Amir Thaleb, Ansuya, April Rose, Aziza, Camelia from Caracalla troupe in Lebanon, Jamila Salimpour, Jillina, Magda and Atef Farag from the Reda troupe, Mardi Love, Mira Betz, Dr. Mo Geddawi, Orit Maftsir, Randa Kamel, Rachel Brice, Suhaila Salimpour, Tamra Henna, Virgina, Yasmina Ramzy, Yasmina of Cairo, Zein Al Jundi, Zoe Jakes, and many more.
I spent many years training within the Suhaila Salimpour dance format as well as Improvisational Tribal Style (ITS) format. I am honored to be the first bellydancer to perform on the well-respected Austin City Limits television stage.
